writing about hope for #glamblogclub

This is a lovely theme, as we need to have some hope to keep going every day.

Even with the dangerous political decisions being made around the world, and the many grim things happening, there is still some hope. It may be in:

• how a library is encouraging the photography of the local area, for local studies
• how people are using craftivism to resist what is happening and to lobby
• showing how libraries can help people know what is fake news
• the work of people like Becky Spratford and Robin Bradford
• the Washington Post 
• the just in stream on ABC news
• Colombia Journalism Review
• people speaking out and not being silent
• the work of Felicity Ford who does amazing local studies work (from a non-library perspective)
• UNICEF stories of innovation
• Superheroes in color/colour and We need diverse books and the much more diverse authors I have been reading
• serendipitous discovery

This is only a short list (with a mostly work focus), and there is a lot more.  It is also communities of people encouraging and helping one another, some of this is seen in the links above, some of it is online connections, and some are the face to face connections we all have.  It is also the knowledge that we can all make a difference, but we must choose to take action.
